Everyone has the right to apply for the protection of their rights to the Ombudsman (Article 55 of the Constitution of Ukraine). In accordance with the Law of Ukraine "On the Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine", a person may appeal to the Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, if his rights and freedoms are violated by state authorities, local self -government bodies and their officials and officials, as well as legal entities, by individuals.
